[Page] 61An Assessment of the duty upon Servants within the City of St Andrews
retained or Employed from 25th of march 1778 to 25th of March last By
Charles Robb Assessor
I Charles Robb Assessor aforesaid Do hereby certifye That upon carefull
examination of the foregoing rates and duties I find they amount in
whole to the sum of Five pounds five shillings Sterling And that upon
the Sixth day of January I delivered to George Thomson Collector
for the City aforesaid an exact account duplicate of the above Accompt duly
examined and compared with the foregoing, which contained my oath
that notices were left with the whole forgoing several inhabitants or at their
dwelling houses of the date before annexed that they were to be charged
with the duties hereby certifyed to be due from them
