A Survey of the duties on Male Servants arisen in the Burgh of Aberbro
thock for one Year commenceing the twenty fifth day of March 1778 and end
ing the twenty fifth day of March 1779 by William Greig Surveyor

I William Greig Surveyor of aforesaid do hereby certify that upon carefull examination of the
foregoing rates and duties I find they amount in whole to two pounds two shillings sterling
And upon the [ ] day of [ ] 1780 I delivered to Mr Alexander Mudie Town Clerk
and Collector of the said duties for the Burgh aforesaid an exact duplicate of the above
Account (Conform to [ ] ) duly examined and Compared with
the foregoing which contained my oath that notices were left with the persons before
named or at their dwelling houses of the date annexed to their respective names requiring
them within fourteen days to give in a list of Servants retained or employed by
them for the year before mentioned And that the said Account or Survey was made
out from the lists returned to me, and from the best information I could procure
of the Servants of those who neglected or refused to give in a list of their Servants
on terms of the notices left with them as aforesaid
