Transcribe other information

The following Valuations were extracted, the first from a Copy of the Rentall of the County, commonly called
CROMWELL'S, transcribed, as appears by the notice prefixed, by William Fleming, Apothecary in Perth.

The second, or modern part, was carefully compared with the present COUNTY CESS BOOK, of which it
is an exact transcript.

To this is added, in the Abstract, the Valuation of the County as fixed 1667, which forms the foundation
of the present Rate. There is also prefixed to the Abstract, a List of the Commissioners of Supply, appointed
in the first Scottish Parliament of CHARLES II. after the Restoration. This interesting Document is copied
from the Printed Acts, 1661.

The Editor takes this opportunity of expressing his very high obligations to JAMES MURRAY PATTON,
Esquire of Glenalmond, in affording him every facility in referring to the Documents in his (the Sherriff Clerk's)
Office.
