6 Dec 1798 The Four Merkland of Penlaw, Parkcleuchfoot, and Whiteleys, were by Decree of the Commissioners of this date, disjoined from the cumulo valuation of the Marquis of Annandale, and appointed to be rated, per se, in this parish at 200.0.0
N.B. The division took place on a petition by Robert Henderson, and without attending thereto, the same valuation was again struck off the cumulo upon a petition of the Earl of Hopetoun to be more particularly hereafter adverted to
27 Dec 1798 The Lands of Watscales were by Decree of the Commissioners of this date, separated from the Marquis of Annandale's cumulo, and appointed to be here stated, per se, at 75.0.0
And by the Decree last mentioned, the following Lands, situated in this parish, were also disjoined from the Marquis of Annandale's cumulo, and appointed to be rated, per se as under:-
