Additional Duty on Carriage and Saddle Horse Tax, per 37 Geo. III Cap. 134

I John Scott Asst [Assistant] Surveyor aforesaid do hereby certify that upon careful examination of
the foregoing Rates and Duties I find they amount to the Sum of Forty pounds and
Ten Shillings Sterling and that upon 3d March currt [current] I delivered into the Office of
George Canstoun Esq collector of said Duties a duplicate of this accounts which
contained my Oath that the preceding Inhabitants were duly served with Requisitions
of the dates foresaid and that the Said acct [account] made up from their Several
returns to from the best information I could procure when they failed
to make such Returns John Scott.
