Edinr. [Edinburgh] 17 May 1798 I John Scott asst. [assistant] Surveyor aforesaid] do certify
that the above named Inhabitants are charged agreeable to their
establishment - They having made no return to my requisition
in due time . And that the duties chargeable on the above horses
amount to Six pounds & Eighteen Shillings Sterling
