FORTROSE 23 [page] 59A Survey of the Carriage and Horse Tax. in Fortrose
I Hugh MacFarquhar Surveyor Aforesaid, do hereby certify that
upon examination of the foregoing Duties I find they Amount in
whole to One pound, And that upon the Sixteenth day of this
curr. [current] month of November I delivered to Baillie Alexander McKenzie
residing Magistrate, there being no Collector Appointed, An exact
Duplicate of the Above Acct. [Account] which contained my Oath that the
above list, contained the Number of Horses returned to me, & that
were kept or us'd in the Burgh Aforesaid According to the best
of my knowledge or information
