Att Edinburgh the Twenty sixth day of
February Jaj vi ct nyntie Four years [26 Feb 1694]

In presence of The Earle of Linlithgow
Compaired Lachlan Mcintosh, Collector of the Hearth money
Within the Presbitry of Dunkeld and Pearth with the five
parochens of Meigle presbytrie and Lundie Who being sworn
and examined Declaired that the forsaid List of Hearthes
extending to Fourtein thousand Three Hundered & fourtie
Eicht Which are payed, And fyve Hundered and sextie
Tuo which are unpayed, Is ane true and Just List of
all the Hearths of the forsaid Presbitries and parochens
to the best of his Knowledge (Excepting four Hundered
and sextie one Hearths of poor) And that he hes
used his endeavor, to the outmost Conform to the proclamane [proclamatione]
of Councell Annent the Ingathering of Hearth money
To attaine to the knowledge of all the forsaids Hearths
And that He hes not Wittingly or Willingly concealed
any But Given up the same truly as sd [said] is And this is
the truth as he shall ansr [answer] to God. And alse
excepting the Laird of Weemis Tennents in
Rannach who hes payed none, In regard the
place is unaccessable as to the sub Collector. And alse
excepting some small poynds given back againe by the
deponent to very poor people, not exceeding fourty hearths
they not being exeemed by Law
