Hearth tax transcription
The hearth book of the shire of Bervickcontaining the seaverall paroches within the sd [said] ssreffdome [shireffdome]
with the names and designations of the rexive [respective] heritors
Liferenters wodsetters tennents and possessors inhabiting the
same who have made payment of ther hearth money for
ther rexive [respective] hearths & possest be them in each of the saids
paroches and ane accompt of the hearth money payed be
them therfor to James Whyte Commissar clerk of Lauder
Subcolector throf [thereof] and his substitutes Conform to the 2d act
of the Third sessione of parliat [parliament] anno 1690 Imposeing the
same

hearth possest be him, one be James Somervell his fathr [father]
