I John Veitch Surveyor aforesaid do freely Certify that upon Carefull examination
of the foregoing Rates and Duties I find the amount in whole to the sum of two pounds seventeen
shillings and Sixpence Sterling and that upon the 23 Decr [December] I transmitted to John McAuly
Collector of said Duties for the Burgh aforesaid ane exact Duplicate of the above acct [account]
duly examined and Compared with the foregoing which Contained my oath that requisitions
were left with the several foregoing Inhabitants or at their Dwelling houses
at the dates annexed to their Respective names and that the assessments were made
from the answers sent me and nou in my possession.
