38Survey of Kincardine Shire continued
I William Greig Surveyor aforesaid Do thereby Certify That upon carefull examination of
foregoing rates and duties I find they amount to Three hundred and eighteen pounds
sixteen shillings and six pence sterling and 20 per Cent thereon together Three hundred
eight two pounds eleven shillings & nine pence 6/10 sterling And I do make Oath that
Notices were left with the whole foregoing Inhabitants or at their dwelling places on
the dates aforesaid requiring them within fourteen days to give in List of their
Farm horses employed by them from 5 April 1796 to 5 April 1797 And that the
foregoing Survey is made out from the List returned to me And from the best
information I could procure of the horses of those whose Lists were deficient or
who neglected or refused to return Lists in terms of the Notices of requisition
left with them as aforesaid
