cudbright from the 5th day of April 1797 to the 5th day of April 1798 By David Mcmillan Survr. [Surveyor]
I David Mcmillan Survr. [Surveyor] aforesaid Do hereby Certify that upon careful examination
of the foregoing Several Rates and Duties I find they amount to the Sum of
Four pounds four shillgs. [shillings] Sterling; and that upon the --
day of January one thousand and seven hundred ninety eight years I delivered
to Mr David McLellan Kirkcudbt. [Kirkcudbright] Collector of the said Duties for
the Burgh aforesaid an exact Duplicate of the foregoing which contd. [contained]
my oath that Requisitions or notices were delivered or left for the
several foregoing persons at their dwelling places of the Date foresd [foresaid]
and the Charge made out from their returns or my best information.
