Aberdeen January 1795 I Charles Farquharson Surveyor aforesaid do here
by Certify that upon carefull examination of the foregoing Rates
and Duties I find they amount to One hundred & forty Nine pounds
Sterl [Sterling]. Likewise the additional duties thereon of ten P [per] Cent Fourteen
pounds eighteen Shillings Sterl [Sterling] and that upon the day of January
1795 I delivered to William Copland Collector of the said duties for
the Burgh aforesaid an exact duplicate of the above Account (as will
appear from his Receipt hereunto affixed) duly examined & Compared
with the foregoing, which contained my oath that requisitions were
left with the Several persons before named or at their dwelling
houses of the dates annexed to their respective Names, requiring
them with in fourteen days to give in a list of their Wheel Carriages
retained or employed by them from the fifth day of April 1793
to the 5th of April 1794 . And that the Said Account or Survey
is made out from the list s returned to me, and from the list Information
I could procure of the Wheel Carriages of those whose
lists |

I find the foregoing Duties Amot [Amount] to seven pounds fourteen shillings Sterg [Sterling]
And I Delivered to Mr Jas Byres Collr [Collector] of the said Duties an Exact Duplicate
of this Accot [Account] which Contained my Oath that the proceeding
Inhabitants were served with Notices of the Date Aforesaid and that
They were to be Charged Conformably to their Returns from the best

pounds Stg [Sterling] which with the ten per Cent Duty thereon
being Four pounds Eight shillings Stg [Sterling] makes the amount
in whole to Fourty eight pounds Eight shillings Stg [Sterling]
And that upon the Twenty fourth day of November
I delivered to Mr William Templeton Collector of said
duties for said Burgh at his Office an exact Duplicate
of And duly Examined & Compared with the foregoing
account, which Contained my Oath That Notifications

and that upon the twenty second day of November instant I transmitted to Mr. John
Clark Collector of said Duty an Exact Duplicate of this Accompt Containing my Oath
that the above Adam Scott was duly served with a requisition of the date foresaid

Town of Perth from 5 Apr. 1794 to 5 April 1795 by Laurence Buchan Surveyor
Perth 10 November 1794 [10 Nov 1794] I Laurence Buchan Surveyor aforesaid, do hereby certify,
That upon careful Examination of the foregoing Several Rates and Duties I find they amount,
in Whole to One hundred and Twenty pounds Nine Shillings Stg [Sterling] and this
date I delivered to Mr Patrick Miller Collector of Said Duties for the Town aforesaid
an Exact Duplicate of the Above Account duly examined and compared with the
foregoing, That Notices were left with the several Inhabitants or at their Dwelling houses
of the dates anexed to their respective Names, that they were to be charged with the Sums
hereby certified to be due from them -

I William Brunton Surveyor aforesaid do hereby certify that upon carefull examination I find the above
duties amount to the Sum of fifteen pound Eight Shillings and that upon fifth day of November
1794 I delivered to Peter Tait Collector of these duties for the Burgh aforesaid an exact duplicate
of the above which containd my Oath that the preceeding inhabitants were duly Served with requisitions
of the dates aforesaid desiring them within fourteen days to deliver or cause to be delivered to my upon calling
for that purpose an Attested list of all the Servants Horses and Carriages used and employed by them from
the 5th April 1794 to the 5th April 1795 as well as account of what Servants Horses and Carriages they
might use and employ any where else and that the foregoing report was made up from their Several
attested lists or returns to me from the best information I could procure or from my own certain knowledge
of their respective Establishments.

upon carefull Examination of the foregoing several Rates & duties
they amount in whole to Ninety Pounds fifteen Shillings Ster. [Sterling]
& that upon the first Current I delivered to Mr William Muirhead
Collector of the said duties for the Borough aforesaid an Exact
duplicate of the above Account duly & carefully compared within
the foregoing which contained my Oath that Requisitions were left
with the several Inhabitants or at their dwelling Houses & that by their
Returns made me & the best Information I could procure they are
