[I] John Rose Surveyor aforsaid do hereby Certify that upon Carefull examination of the Above duty I [find]
they Amount to two Hundred & Seventeen pounds Seven Shillings Sterling and that [up]on
the Twenty fourth of November last I delivered to Messrs Grant & McDonald Collectors of
the said Duties exact Duplicate as Stated in the Above Account which Contained my [oath]
that the preceeding Inhabitants were duely Served with requisitions requiring of them [within]
fourteen days to deliver to me an Attested list of their Servants horses and [carriages]
employed and used by them from the 5th Apl. [April] 92 to the 5th Apl. [April] 93 and that the [account]
was made up from their Several returns to me from the best information
from my own Certain knowledge of their respective establishments
