[Page] 49Survey of the WHEEL-CARRIAGE TAX in the Royalty of
Haddington from 5 April 1790 to 5 April 1791 by William Johnstone Survr. [Surveyor]
I William Johnstone Surveyor aforesaid do hereby Certify that upon carefull examination
I find the foregoing duties amount to the sum of Fifty three pounds ten shillings
Sterling and that upon the 17 Novemr [November] 1790 I delivered to John Carfrae Collector of
said duties an exact duplicate of this Accompt duely examined & compared which
contained my Oath that the foregoing Inhabitants were duely served with Requisitions
and that they were charged conform to their returns Or according to my knowledge
& belief that they were liable in said duties.
