[Page] 25A Survey of the Duty on Wheel Carriages arisen in the Burgh
of Dundee from the 5th April 1788 to the 5 April 1789
by Daniel Ross Surveyor
I Daniel Ross Surveyor aforesaid do hereby Certify that up-
-on Carefull Examination of the foregoing Rates & Dutys
they amount in whole to forty five pounds ten
Shilling Sterling to be paid in to James Dick
Collector, and I do make Oath that Notices
were left with the Several Persons before Namd
or at there Dwelling Houses of the Respective dates
afor said requiring them to give in a list of
the Carriages Retained or employed by them
from the 5th April 1788 to the fifth of April 1789 And
that the Survey is made out from the lists Returned
to me, and from the best information I Could
get of the Carriages of those who neglected or
Refused to return a list thereof in Terms of the
Notices left whith them as aforesaid.
