[Page] 83A Survey of the [Wheel Carriage Tax] in the Burgh of Selkirk
from the 5 of April 1786 to 5 April 1787 by William Brunton Surveyor
I William Brunton Surveyor do hereby Certify that upon carefull
examination of the Several Rates and dutys aforesaid I find they
amount in whole to the Sum of fourteen Pound Ster [Sterling] and that upon
the 25 day of September I delivered to Andrew Brown
Collector of said Dutys for the Burgh aforesaid an Exact
Duplicate of the Above Accounts examined and Compared with
the foregoing which Containd my Oath that Requisitions were left
with the Several Gentelmen or at their dwelling Houses that they
are charged with the Sums set against their Several names.
