I Patrick McDonald Surveyor aforesaid do hereby Certify that
upon Careful Examination of the forgoing Several Rates and
Duties I find they Amount in whole to Seventy Seven Pounds
Sterling and that I delivered to John Duff Collector of said [duties]
In the County of Elgin Upon the 30th day of December 1786 an
Exact duplicate of the above Account duly examined and
Compard with the forgoing which Containd my Oath that
Notices were left with [these ?] Whole forgoing Inhabitants and
their dwelling Houses of the respective dates for said in
that they might make a Report of the greatest Number
of Two and Four Wheel Carriages retained or employed by
them for the period therein Mentioned Which they owe
Substance as above Patrick McDonald Surveyor
