006 [Situation] In the north Western section of the plan, 100 chains N.E. [North East] by N. [North] of Blar nam Faoileag.
Was formerly a large fresh water loch, but the greater part of it is now nearly dry and provides heathy pasture. In its deepest part, there are four small lochs, Viz.- Loch Tana, Loch Mhurchaidh Mhic Thormaid, Loch Mòr, and Loch na Laothrach, all of which are included in the name "Loch Breithabhat".

A small stream which flows out of Loch Dubh Thurtail. It is quite small for about half a mile; but as it approaches the sea, it becomes large.
