010 | A large Loch which is long and very narrow, it runs in a direction South East and north west and is bounded on the Western Side by the pleasure grounds of Castle Kennedy Fishes of the Perch Trout, and Roach . Specie are Numerously to be found in it a few Small Streams of Surface Water runs into it on the east Side, which with its own Springs. are its Chief Supply, at the north west and there runs a canal from this loch. and by a circutous route empties itself into Loch Ryan the canal is partly an artificial one for the purpose of drawing a Supply of water for the working of two mill. the one a Bone the other a carding mill |
