010 | This is a rock which rises about 3 1/2 feet above the surface of the ground and is in length about 15 feet, is width is about 10 feet it lies in the direction of N.E. [North East] and S.W. [South West] or nearly E. [East] and between its extreme points is an opening of natural formation resembling a Stone Trough, or an open Grave . Save its being open at both end. against the N.E. [North East] end a large loose flag of Stone is raised up to Close the opening in the rock and around it is a few Scattered land Stones, Giving it the appearance of the Site of an Ancient Cairn, - But there is no Tradition in the Country to Say that any person was buried in it. it merelly Gets the name from its close resemblance to an open Grave. |
