027 A Stream which comes off the "Holeface" (21 Trace 6) and flows by the east side of the "Craw Road" to Alnwick Bridge" where, being joined by Alnwick Burn, it changes its name to Kirk Burn, which finally enters the Glazert passing through the "Kirkton or Campsie Glen", at the Lodge Gate of "Lennox Castle" (Trace 2. 28.12) The "Nineteen-times Burn", the name of which is well known in Campsie, takes its name from having in former times crossed the "Craw Road" nineteen times between Moss Maigry and Alnwick Bridge. Improvements in the Road brought the Burn along its side, but the name has not been forgotten, nor is it likely to be.
