053 | A small portion of masonry, fifteen links by ten, supposed to be the remains of the dungeon, is all that is to be seen of this building. No information whatever can be gathered respecting the date of erection, size or appearance of the building. 053 | When trenching the field in which the remains on Achnacloich Castle stand, and within the supposed circumference of the site, three stone Coffins were found, each containing a human SKeleton, but in the usual position. Two Urns were also found but both were unfortunately broken. The whole were reburied on the spot in which they were discovered. |
