130 A small irregular shaped Lake on the lands of Cardross. In the moor near the Southwest end of this lake is a small mound of earth apparently artificial. Concerning it, the inhabitants know nothing farther than it is there to be seen.
MOUND [Black Loch] Mound 130 A sort of mound in the middle of a marsh with some small plum trees growing on it and built round with stones as if the water had entirely surrounded it and been kept out. It is not a sepulchral mound.
