St. [Saint] Michaels Kirk (Site Of)--Site--This name applies to a portion of a field where an old Kirk once stood, no vestage of it is now to be seen on the ground, but the site was pointed out to me by William Robinson who says the place was shown him by the late Mr Bell of Gribdie who was a very old man when he died, and also that it was a Roman Catholic house of worship, but no information could be obtained respecting the period in which it existed nor even the date at which it was demolished.--Kirkcudbright--James Stewart
