020.06 About fifteen years ago the Fir Hillock was used as a gravel pit, and in the Course of excavation a Cist was found, it Contained fragments of human bones, and a large number of black jet beads, The Cist was broken by the workmen, and the beads distributed. Mr. Annandale states the beads were about the size of a halfpenny, flattish, with a hole through the centre, and appeared to have been worn as a necklace.-
