097 "A district of Inverness-Shire occupying the central part of the great vally, which extends from Inverness on the east coast to Fort William on the west. At its head is Loch Garry a fine sheet of water possessing good trout fishing, and through its centre flows the River Garry. Glengarry was till very recently the property of the chief of the Clan McDonell, who here possessed an elegant seat in Invergarry Castle."
