The site of this object is now occupied by a house of modern style The Mauchline Tower was taken down about 1812. Mr Roger remembers seeing the building and also its demolition Mr Thomson remembers the same both point out the site as shewn on trace, but who built or first occupied it is quite unknown as well as is the time of its erection
