The portion of the Ochil range of Hills which comes within sheet 15B are principally rough rocky heath pasture interspersed with furze or whins none of which are of great altitude this description refers more particularly to the locality between the Plains and the west sides of Blair and Candy Farms the Eastern termination of the Hills west of Damhead are partly cultivated. The extent of the Ochil Hills or extreme length is from a little NE [Northeast] of Stirling to [Damhead the] junction of the Counties of Perth Kinross & Fife. |
