034 ; 040 A well known Stream which rises from Surface water in the east base of Benwhat Parish in Dalmellington. It has a winding Course of about 10 miles in a mostly westerly direction, falling into the River Ayr adjacent to Sundrum about 4 miles from Ayr. It forms the boundary between the parishes of Coylton and Ochiltree, and Coylton and Stair. Its Course is, for the most part, through agricultural and on a gravelly bed. Its banks in places are precipitous and in general well wooded.

034 A Small Stream which takes its name from the junction of two Small Streams about 20 chains east of Shaw Church flowing through a level country gravelly bed til it enters a steep and wooded glen, through which it flows till it falls into the Water of Coil.
