17Survey SHOP TAX. Burgh of Campbeltown
for the year ending 5 April 1788 By Duncan MacNuier Surveyor
I Duncan MacNuier Surveyor aforesaid do hereby certify That upon carefull examination of the
foregoing several Rates and dutys I find they ammount to Three shillings and four pence Stg [sterling] And that upon the
[22]d March 1788 I transmitted under cover of a Letter by post to the Treasurer of the Burgh
aforesaid an exact Duplicate of the above Accompt duly examined and Compared with the
foregoing which contained my Oath that notices were given to the foregoing Inhabitants
on the dates aforesaid that they were to be charged with the rates and
dutys set against their several names
