I David Hutcheson Surveyor aforesaid Do hereby Certify that upon Carefull
Examination of the foregoing Rates and Duties I find they amount
in whole to Eleven shillings and eight pence sterling And that
upon the date hereof I delivered to Mr Thomas Ewing Collector
of the said duties for the County aforesaid an exact Duplicate
of the above account duly Examined & compared with the fore-
-going, which contained my oath that notices were left with
the Several Inhabitants or at their dwelling houses of the
dates annexed to their respective names that they were
to be Charged with the Sums hereby Certified to be due from
them

I John Taitt Surveyor aforesaid do hereby Certify that upon careful
Examination of the foregoing several Rates and Duties I find
they amount in Whole to Forty six pound Fifteen Shillings and four pence
and that upon this 29th November Current I delivered to George
Cranston Esqr or his Depute at the Cess Office Edinburgh,
Collector of the said Duties for the Shire aforesaid, an exact
Duplicate of the above Accounts duly examined and compared
with the foregoing, which certified that Certificates of Charge
were left with the several Inhabitants at their Shops of the
dates annexed to their Respective Names, that they were to be
Charged with the Sums hereby certified to be due from them.

I James Allan Surveyor aforesaid do hereby Certify That upon carefull Examination
of the foregoing several Rates & duties, I find they Amount in Whole to Two pounds twe[lve shillings]
Sterling & that upon the first day of October last [1 Oct 1787] I delivered to Mr Thomas Wingate Collector of t[he said]
duties an exact duplicate of the above Account which contained my Oath that Notices were left w[ith]
the foregoing Inhabitants or at their dwelling houses of the dates annexed that they were to be
Charged with the Rates & duties as Certified to be due from them
