Lothian from 5th April 1787 to the 5 April 1788 by William Johnstone Surveyor
I William Johnstone Surveyor aforesaid do hereby certify that upon carefull examination I find the
above duty amount to Two Shillings and Eight pence sterling and that upon the seventh day of Novemr [November]
(1787) I delivered to William Wilkie depute Collr [Collector] for the County of East Lothian an exact duplicate of
this ammnt [amount] duely examined & Compared which contained my Oath that the above person was served with
Notice of the foresaid date intimating that He was to be charged with the sum Sett against his name.
