A surey of the duties on men Servants in the RoyalBurgh of Rutherglen for the time from the 5th July
1777 to the 25th March 1778 by me William Mure Surveyor.
Proof 1 Servant at 15 Shillings £0.15.0
I William Mure surveyor aforesaid do hereby certify, That upon carefull Examination of the
foregoing several Rates & Duties I find they amount in Whole to Fifteen Shillings and that
upon the 29th day of March 1779 I delivered to Mr David Scott Collector of the said Duties for
the Burgh aforesaid an exact Duplicate of the above Account, duly examined & compared
with the foregoing, which contain my Oath that Notices were left with the several Inhabitants,
or at their Dwelling houses, of the Dates annexed to their respective Names, that they were
to be charged with the Sums hereby certified to be due from them. by me William Mure[signature]surveyor.
