hereby certify That upon careful Examination of the foregoing Several Rates and Duties [I]
find they Amount in Whole to Six hundred and Seventy Two pounds [thirteen]
Shillings St [Sterling] and this date I delivered James Maxton Esqr Collector of the said Duties [for]
the Shire aforesaid an Exact Duplicate of the Above Acct [Account] duly Examined and [compared]
with the foregoing Requisitions being left with the several Masters or [Mistresses]
or at their dwelling houses and to which most of them made returns
