The above surcharges added to the Collectors Duplicate.

I John Wood Surveyor aforesaid do hereby Certify That upon
careful Examination I find these duties to amount ([independent]
of the Surcharges) to the sum of seven hundred and Eighty
pounds ten Shillings Stg. [Sterling] And further that on this same day
being the 13th of January 1790 I did deliver to George Cranstoun
Esqr. Collector at his office a full Duplicate of this Acct. [Account] in whole
I mentioned that the charges ags [against] the diffr [different] inhabitants were
made in Consequence of Returns by them to me, or where they
failed in making such Returns from the best Information I could
get and of wh. [which] they were duly notified.
