This is a handsome house, large and commodious, but through being unoccupied it is rather suffered to go out of repair. The out Offices which are also extensive are in a bad state of repair adjoining the house are pleasure grounds and a garden of about 2 acres the latter still Kept in good order, attached is a large tract of pasture land including a well wooded demesne. This was until about 4 1/2 years ago the property and residence of Col. [Colonel] Cathcart it is now the property of Col. [Colonel] McDowal of Logan.
