Colonel Alexander Duncan was born before 1731. He was the son of Alexander Duncan of Lundie and Helen Haldane. He married Mary Smythe, daughter of James Smythe of Methven. He died in 1796, without issue.He lived at Lundie, Angus, Scotland. He fought in the Seven Years' War, serving in Canada.
