Transcriber's notes

Message for Scots Exile:
Please refer to the Inventories Guidelines before continuing with these pages. You will find them here -
http://www.scotlandsplaces.gov.uk/transcribe/forums/transcriptions/faqs-frequently-asked-questions/1234417

This page is an example of how to do tables and lists -
http://www.scotlandsplaces.gov.uk/digital-volumes/rcahms-archives/inventories/argyll-volume-1-1971/11#zoom=2&lat=1582.5&lon=1225&layers=B
by inserting ' -- ' between the separate elements.

Also note that the text on page 2 of this volume should not be transcribed as continuous text but follow the line-breaks of the original.

Thank you.

Following your email which was forwarded to me:
you need to put a space either side of the dashes separating the list elements, I've done the first few lines for you.
Also please look at the first page you had done, page 2, the inside cover in fact, to see how I have put line breaks in to reproduce the way the text appears on the page.
I do not specialise in Inventories, and am therefore not entirely sure about italics. I'll try to get the Project Officer to contact you about that.
