Knockinnon Castle (S. 5.)
On the top of a prominent rock which
rises on the W. [West] side of the high road
about 1/2 m. [mile] N. [North] of Dunbeath are the mere
foundations of this castle. There appears
to have been a small rectangular keep
with numerous outbuildings. (See C. & D. Arch) [The Castellated & Domestic Architecture of Scotland].

Broch. Upper Latheron.
A short distance W. [West] of the high road
near Upper Latheron and about 1 m. [mile] S. [South] of the
road bridge at Latheronwheel on the
top of a rock are the remains of a broch
overgrown with grass. The diameter
of the structure is not accurately as:
:certainable without excavation but
it seems to be about 57'. The elevation
is about 7'. A small portion of wall
is exposed on the NE. [North East]. Along the
rock towards the E. [East] there appear to be
the remains of outbuildings.

Chambered Cairn - Remains. (89)
About 1/2 m. [mile] SE. [South East] of Latheronwheel House,
and situated by the side of an old
feal dyke about 100 yds [yards] to the E. [East] of the
road between Dunbeath & Lybster are
the remains of a chambered cairn.
The chamber has been entered from the
NE [North East] and the remains of 2 compartments
are recognisable by the division stones.
