of large slabs lie in the interior. In the
smaller circle though no pillars
remain a number of large stones lie near
the base of the wall. The wall at the highest
is about 1'.6" in height. In the wall of
the smaller circle in the E. [East] side is a small
circular chamber with a diameter of about
5'. To the NW. [North West] are the indefinite remains
of what may have been another chamber.
In the immediate vicinity are various
indeterminate foundations &c.

"Picts House" Braemore.
On the N. [North] bank of the Berriedale water
some 300 yds. [yards] E. [East] of Achnahavish and
about 100 yds. [yards] back from the river are
the ruins of a similar galleried construction
The main enclosure has been circular
with a diameter of 26' having to the W. [West]
of it another compartment now of indefinite
plan. In both of these the upright pillars
are here and there visible and a number
of large slabs lie overturned in the
interior.
As it was impossible to reach the other
"Picts Ho. [House]" near Dail a Charn owing to
the weather Mr. Mackay has kindly
undertaken to supply me with particulars,
