wall and is some 1'.5" in height. If completed
the inner structure must have had an interior
diameter of from 7'.6" to 8'. and to have finished
against the E. [East] wall of the outer circle. The
position of the entrance is not clear but
was probably from the NE. [North East]. At about
23' distant from the circle on the NW. [North West] is
exposed a cist the top of which is almost at
ground level. It lies N & S [North & South] & appears to have
measured some 3' x 2'. Some 10' N. [North] of it is
another measuring 3'.6" x 2' lying in the same
direction. A few small stones lie adjacent
as if they had formed a small stony mound
on the top. At 23' N. [North] is another 4' x 1'.6"
lying NNE [North North East] and SSW. [South South West] with similar stones
beside it, while 28' to the NNE [North North East] is another.
measuring 3' x 1'.6" lying E [East] and W. [West]. These
cists appear to be set to some extent
concentrically to the circle. At one or
two places between them thin slabs pro:
:trude set on end similar to those in the
stone rows.
