Parliament 1660 to 1707 The Scoltish parliament distributed the Scoltish burgh seats in the Representation of the People (Scotland) Act 1832 which redistribunited parliament of Great Britain. Edinburgh had one member; and uted the seats in a different way so as to give better reflection of the the rest of the burghs were organised in groups of either four or five, changes in population which had taken place since the Union. and each group had one member.
