025 [Situation] on the Main Road from Wigtown to Kirkinner about 1/4 mile North of Kirkland -
A small Bridge over the Mill Lead near Milldriggan Mill. This Bridge was built by the Proprietor of the Mill and is a private Bridge, Some small repairs have been done occasionally by the County.- yet it is not a County Bridge. This Bridge is equally well Known by the name Merchants Bridge from the person who Keeps a Shop near it who is called "The Merchant ". Mr McHaffie recommends the Name "Milldriggan Mill Bridge". -
