[North West] Corner of this field Marked by A Cross. Said to has been the old Chapel Balcarrie. Was Once the Seat of the Original Hay Family. The Present Sir James Hay has. it is Said A [stoat] from this Place. I can get No Antiquity for this Place. Only that This Chapel with that of Kirk Christ Were dependant or Chapels of ease. To Luce Abbey. It is Supposed that here was One of these Chapels Stood. Where the Parish Church of Old Luce Now Stands. In the Town of Glenluce Called Lady Chapel. This May Account for Lady Burn |
