016 A fine Stone building in the Gothic Style of Architecture, Commenced in the year 1838 and finished in May 1841 by Subscription. Cost about £2400 it has 1050 Sittings including Gallery at at the last Sacrament 112 Communicants. Government prays the clergyman £126 and £30 for a house he is allowed £24 from the Town Council. and a Glebe left for the Support of the minister the Revd. [Reverend] Walter Lowrie of Reed Castle, deceased, formerly minister of Stranraer , The Glebe is in the Parish of Liswalt and within a short distance of the Town. The house and land (33 acres) are let to a farmer, and brings in to the minister from £60 to £70 annualay
