John Adair Writer North Strand Stranraer 016 A large Bank of Shingle nearly covered at Spring tides. Some years ago. this was green pasture & the Small Stream from Sheuchan Mill entered the Loch at this place . This Bank has been caused by the Action of the high spring Tids this Place is some times called Clayhole Wharf. But that name cannot be properly applayed As there is no Structure for that purpose either of Stone or Wood. This Place is only used for hauling up fishing Boats where they can lay Safe at high Water There is also A Trigl [Trigonometrical] ◬ [Station] on this BanK Clayhole -
