011 [Situation] ¾ Mile NW [North West] of Drumpail Bridge.
A high rock of an irregular Eliptical form. the Southern end of which is terminated by two walls. From the nature and position of the Rock and the the circumstance of the two walls being built at the southern end, it is supposed to have been used as a place of strength or refuge. Another rock enclosed within the above and on the highest point of the Cairn is about 30 links diameter, and commands an extensive view.
