A plain rectangular stone building built by subscription [in 1843] & 1846. There is no ordained minister as yet appointed to this church it is in the direction of the Revd. [Reverend] Mr. Bell of [Leswalt] also Revd. [Reverend] Mr. Brady is minister probationer it is situate on the north side of the road from Kirkcolm to Portpatrick and [west of] Kirminoch farm house

A Small hill of arable land on the farm of Kirminoch rising [regularly] on all sides on its summit is a Trigl. [Trigonometrical] Station Called after the name of the farm by Trigl. [Trigonometrical] Party The name is said to be derived from a Small pool which was formerly near it joined by a Stream which flows on the N. E. [North East] side of it
