A small oblong Heathy Hill at the North extremity of Loch Ochiltree, and upon the farm of Kirkcalla. Some 30 years since a Man named Barnie Cleary was appointed by the Earl of Galloway to watch Poachers, It appears that he stationed himself on this Hill, hence the Name.
